Has it really been 20 years since Rob Reiner's classic fantasy film The Princess Bride was released? Inconceivable! But it's true – and to commemorate the anniversary, newcomer Worldwide Biggies has created The Princess Bride Game, a title that uses a mash-up of popular casual game styles – including time management and seek-and-find – to retell the story of the maiden Buttercup and her true love Westley.
First, a disclaimer: don't be put off by the completely out of place 'tweeny-bopper pop song that crashes out over the title screen. If you hurry through the sign-up process you'll emerge into the familiar tender theme from the film and be treated to an opening introduction from Grandpa, who, like in the film, serves as narrator and guides you through the five episodes of the story.
The game's plot sticks closely to that of the movie. In a nutshell, for those who haven't seen the film or need a refresher, Buttercup falls in love with Westley, but being a poor farm hand, Westley has no money for marriage and goes off to seek his fortune. When Westley's ship is attacked and he is presumed dead, a grieving Buttercup agrees to marry the evil Prince Humperdinck. To make a long story short, Westley returns, Buttercup is captured, and Westley must save her from Humperdinck's clutches with the help of a few friends.
There are a lot of classic moments in The Princess Bride, and the game highlights five of the most memorable ones. The twist, though, is that the gameplay for each episode is completely different.

The most obvious aspect that sets this game apart from most others, is the incredible detail of the graphics. I eagerly awaited each new level and was continually amazed by the scenic images.
The soundtrack for the game is just as impressive and really conveys the ambiance of ancient Egypt.
The object of the game is to clear a series of marble chains before they reach the end of the path by shooting marbles to create matches of three or more similar colors. The game mechanics are easy to learn and understand, and the levels increase in difficulty gently, giving the player plenty of time to get used to the game play. Unique puzzle bonus rounds in between the main levels are a great new addition and offer quite a challenge!
Creative power-ups can be used during the levels and always seemed to appear when I was in a pinch! Upgrades are available for purchase in between levels, which include items like fancy new marble sets, extra power-ups, and premium shooters.
If you haven’t tried the Luxor games before, and even if marble-shooters aren’t your cup of tea, Luxor 3 is well worth the download. I truly enjoyed this game

You might find yourself facing extra-heavy forces at that last military plant you didn't bomb. Missed a SAM? Watch your teammate go flaming down in, uh, flames, blaming irresponsibility and ignorance on the part of the planners. Or maybe he just sucked and never looked at the radar. Whatever, the point is you get an environment with (according to DiD, I'd never be crazy enough to count - give me my target wing of Migs and a couple bunkers and SAM sites and I'll be happy) over 22,000 targets, 5,000 named cities and towns (didn't know that many existed, wonder if they invented some for the goodness of the scenario - Pseudoville? Has a nice ring to it, wouldn't you agree?); 300 airfields, with correct runways, control towers, accompanying buildings, and so forth. And to top it off, 4.5 million square kilometers of land mass are covered in the game, spanning eight countries, for ultimate realism. (Now I know what those spy satellites must've been doing after the Cold War. Too bad they never got hold of the Russian ones, as the quality of the terrain textures might've been a tad better if they did).
The system requirements for F22: TAW were virtually the same as for F22: ADF. Minimum specs called for a Pentium 166 with 16 MB, and recommended system was P200 or better with 32 MB RAM and 3dfx video board. The game ran well on 4MB video hardware, and total install was around 100 MB.

F-22 Lightning III is a fairly straightforward, easy-to-play, simple-to-get-into F-22 flight simulation, featuring good graphics and mission structure, as well as a more pronounced emphasis on fast and furious multiplayer games. You can step up the screen resolution all the way to 1024x768, though 800x600 runs fine for 3dfx owners (recommended, as the HUD is easier to read in the full cockpit mode). Hardware requirements are surprisingly lax - 800x600 on a Voodoo2 is extremely smooth with all the options turned on. Then again the price you pay is the fog, which seems to be too close for comfort, diminishing how far you can see onto the horizon. One nice graphical feature is the variety of weather: snow, thunderstorms, driving rain, and so forth. The lightning is a particularly good effect, not to mention the nuclear explosions (more on those babies later). The aircraft are well detailed and sport a variety of paint schemes.

Dark Fall is a garage game and a haunted house game and a first person game, and as I'm a fan of all three you'd think this was an adventure game tailor-made for me. It's not that the setup is particularly original. In fact, the beginning of the game is virtually identical to that in Amber: Journeys Beyond, Inherent Evil: The Haunted Hotel and Realms of the Haunting. But who cares? A scary haunted hotel is a scary haunted hotel. It seems your brother was part of a team of ghost hunters. He's hit upon a snag and needs your help. And so off you go . . . after all, he IS your brother, right? From the very beginning Dark Fall creates a chilly, spooky atmosphere. It takes place in a closed hotel that served a now-defunct rail station. The whole idea of a "ghost" station is a delicious one, and it provides a perfect setting for what follows.
As in most adventures of this type, the game environment gradually expands as you gain access to new areas. However, the initial explorable area in the game is quite generous. But there are those locked rooms . . . and the more you play, the more you'll have to know what's . . . behind . . . those . . . doors! In fact, the unity of the game's environment allows Dark Fall to achieve the seemingly contradictory effect of a) having lots of spaces to explore and being troublingly claustrophobic. You know you're not leaving this place until you get to the bottom of the mystery.

Only when you keep the schedule, you can arrive at the bus stop when the most passengers are waiting. Too early or too late and you won’t be able to sell that many tickets. Depending on your success and reputation, the tracks get more difficult, longer and more complex. Choose between different bus models, 8 different bus models are already included, more can be downloaded via the internet. But remember, only paying passengers will result in enough cashflow necessary to run the bus company. Buy or rent larger busses, keep the service running and check up on all busses. Or invest in ad campains or special offers to attract more customers. Extra income can be generated by renting ad spaces on the busses. A total of 18 completely different tracks through different districts (suburbs, downtown, industrial, business center etc.) offer long hours of fun and challenges. Nefarious Plans, 1920’s Glam, and Teenage Flimflam
Dangerous High School Girls is a highly unusual game; set in a rather forbidding girl's high school in the 1920s, you lead a team of girls investigating a series of accidents, and surviving the often-nasty hazing you get from other girls. It is, thus, a story-driven game, but the actual gameplay is almost boardgame like; indeed, the graphics are purposefully designed to look like a vintage game board, and overcoming opponents doesn't rely on combat, but instead on a series of minigames that represent, in some sense, fibbing, taunting, exposing secrets, and making power plays.
Each girl has four attributes –- glamor, rebellion, savvy and popularity -- and each helps with certain techniques to expose the town's corruption "like layers of spoiled paint hidden under fresh."
The storyline guides your exploration, and most events trigger a confrontation –- your girl's skills against her opponent's. Your girl will snag up to three allies among her classmates, each with a different distribution of stats. When you're in a confrontation, you'll select the appropriate girl to deal with the situation, advancing the story if you win. If one of your girls is defeated, though, she's retired from your party for a fixed period of time. In a particularly nasty twist, the gals can pick up "boyfriends," which essentially take the hit for the young lady so that she can stay in the party if she's defeated.
Your girls can flirt, taunt, fib and expose, just like real high school girls, and the allocation of her statistics will make a girl more successful at one type of attack than another. The "expose" game involves guessing a sentence after revealing a fixed number of symbols; the "fib" game is basically a version of Liar's Dice; and both flirting and taunting require choosing the right comeback. With taunting, your girls can only choose comebacks they know, so in this case, the more they're exposed to, the more likely they are to be successful in the future.
From the scandalous adults to the multifaceted molls on offer, there's a delightful level of sophisticated detail on display for what is, essentially, a casual game. And as an alternate take on the old RPG chestnut of a powerful character party, DHSGiT is a hearty success. Those high school days were our crash course in conflict, after all, a time when teens bear up under some of the most vicious aggression campaigns they'll ever experience in their lives –- the idea of importing these types of "attacks" for a PC game mechanic is a stroke of genius. In many ways, more dangerous than a haunted ruin, more lethal than the blade of a sword, and more terrifying than the shambling undead is a high school girl, and this charmingly stylish, elegantly macabre title takes a spot-on snapshot, preserved like a sepia photo, of the creature in her natural habitat.
